I love making reversible quilts, but this one, at 92″ square, almost did me in. See it in real time at the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara, California, Santa Clara Convention Center, October 14-20, at the “A Natural Affinity…” Special Exhibit with Pat Pease and Wendy Hill (that’s me!).

Side 1: ColorBlind (with the cat)

This is my variation on the double sawtooth star block, using scraps of fabric going back to 2004 for 32 “A” blocks, and a repeat black & white block with 32 different solid colors & coordinating centers (with bias covered circles) for the “B” blocks.

Cat is optional!

Side 2: Color Blinded Again

More sawtooth stars, but these are free form constructed. No two stars are alike! The 50 or so different shot cotton stars float in a sea of neutrals with shot cotton and other cotton fabric accents.

Cats not recommended.
